My history
I’m Artur and I’m 8 years old!
I live in Vila Nova de Gaia and I absolutely love sports and competition!
Ever since I was born, I’ve been passionate about anything competitive, especially anything with an engine — and that curiosity eventually led me to karting.
It all started right after the pandemic, when I’d spend entire days on the terrace racing around makeshift tracks on my hoverboard!
At first, it was just for fun, a weekend hobby. I had no idea you could start racing as young as 5! But then came an invitation to try a proper race...
I made my debut at the 2022 Open of Portugal in Karting, just three months after sitting in a kart for the first time.
I went into the race with zero expectations — and it couldn’t have gone better! I won all the heats and races, taking home the first title of my (very short!) career.
Obviously, winning, being on the podium, the attention, and the trophies left me super motivated to keep going. So, I decided to take on the National Karting Championship.
My first year in karting was almost perfect — I won the Open, became National Champion, and came runner-up in the Portuguese Cup 2022.
In 2023, I moved up to the Cadet category. It was definitely a step up in difficulty, but I ended the year with a few podiums, was named Best Rookie, and finished third in the National Karting Championship.
To top off the season, I entered the Rotax Mojo Cup, which I won with a really strong performance.
In 2024, just after turning 7, I decided to make it a year of learning and growth by competing in two national championships!
It turned out to be a year of big achievements: I won the Rotax Cup and the Open of Portugal right at the start, and then went on to become IAME National Champion and Rotax National Vice-Champion!
Now in 2025, I’ve started the climb to an even more challenging category — and it began in the best way: I won the Open of Portugal in Karting for the third time, in my very first race in the X30 Mini category!
I’ll keep chasing victories, always! That’s who I am — that’s what defines me!
